Web analytics is a well-established practice used to understand how visitors interact with a web site. In most cases, the analysis of site traffic is performed by IT or site administrators to obtain basic diagnostic information, or by marketing or business managers to better understand the on-line business. In either case, many organizations have found it challenging to effectively apply web site analysis towards site design improvements. In other words, business managers, administrators and web developers do not effectively collaborate or incorporate web analytics in the early design phases of site development. But an emerging web analysis technique may help change this."
