Search Overtaking Email as Most Popular Online Activity: "New research from Pew Internet & American Life tracking surveys and consumer behavior trends from the comScore Media Metrix consumer panel show that about 60 million American adults are using search engines on a typical day. This is a big jump from last year, from 30% to 41% of the internet-using population searching every day. If these trends continue, the use of search engines may well overtake email as the primary internet activity in our daily online lives.
