Convoy

Couldn't sleep. Got up. Flipped on the cable television (yes, we have
cable television now) and watched most of Convoy. This was one of my
favorite movies there for a brief, pre-Star Wars period when every 6
year old boys fantasy was to be a trucker. Well, most of us don't want
to admit it but that's the culture I was subjected to. My step-dad
would take us out to eat at truck stops on the interstate. Anyway, it
was a grand old revisitation to an oft overlooked movie of when you
could drive across the country on a dollar or so per gallon.
