Think web analytics is only about analyzing server logs?
There's a new alternative.
Web analytics is a well-established practice used to understand how visitors interact with a web site. In most cases, the analysis of site traffic is performed by IT or site administrators to obtain basic diagnostic information, or by marketing or business managers to better understand the on-line business. In either case, many organizations have found it challenging to effectively apply web site analysis towards site design improvements. In other words, business managers, administrators and web developers do not effectively collaborate or incorporate web analytics in the early design phases of site development. But an emerging web analysis technique may help change this."

The user could ask questions and using a text messaging system ask questions or give detailed feedback.

Google Analytics Sends Bad News to Web Tracking Business

Search Overtaking Email as Most Popular Online Activity

Search Overtaking Email as Most Popular Online Activity: "New research from Pew Internet & American Life tracking surveys and consumer behavior trends from the comScore Media Metrix consumer panel show that about 60 million American adults are using search engines on a typical day. This is a big jump from last year, from 30% to 41% of the internet-using population searching every day. If these trends continue, the use of search engines may well overtake email as the primary internet activity in our daily online lives. I plan to take a closer look at the report later in the week; if you can wait, a summary and link..."
